In my course on creating fresh and bold performance makeup, I follow an easy step-by-step guide for the complete look.
Step 1 – Foundation
a. Use any type of foundation
* Find a color to match your skin tone
b. Using your fingers, brush, or sponge, focus on the T-zone area
c. Blend to camouflage discoloration for a seamless look
Step 2 – Concealer
a. Use a flat head, synthetic concealer brush
b. Use small, light strokes using minimal product (build product for higher coverage)
c. Use product under eyes close to the lash line, and gently pat and blend using fingertips or a small blending sponge
d. Lightly cover blemishes and blend with fingertips
Step 3 – Eyebrows
a. Use a pencil or a powder with an angled brush
b. Use short strokes filling in any holes or gaps
c. Start the brow at the outside of the nose – 45 degree angle for the arch – end the tail of the brow at the outer corner of the eye

Step 4 – Eyelid Camouflage
a. Gently pat on concealer to camouflage imperfections and use as a base for other products
Step 5 – Setting Powder
a. Use a loose, translucent powder to avoid cakiness
b. Using a small brush, gently pat under the eye
c. Using a powder puff, gently pat and roll powder onto the face
Step 6 – Eyeliner
a. Use a gel/liquid eyeliner on a brush and press the product into the lash line both underneath and overtop of the lashes
Step 7 – Eyeshadow
a. Use a neutral tone (with a shimmer) and press onto the lid with a brush
b. Using a darker shadow, press into the lash line with a brush
c. Create a wedge shape with the darker color (larger at the outer corner of the eye)
d. Diffuse the color upward with the same brush to avoid harsh lines
e. Use a powder brush to sweep away any loose powder that has fallen
*Avoid using glitter eyeshadow for this look
Step 8 – Mascara
a. Use a black mascara and apply 2-3 coats starting at the lash line and gently wiggling the brush back and forth as you move up the lashes
*You can use an eyelash curler before this step
Step 9 – Blush
a. Use a cream or a powder blush
b. Start at the apples of the cheeks and blend out and down
Step 10 – Lips
a. Choose between a lip gloss or a lipstick
*You can blend 2 colors to get the look you want
b. Choose a color based on the tones (cool or warm) in your eyeshadow
* You may choose to line your lips after applying the lip color
