Feed Your Creative Side – Today.

Chances are you fell in love with singing partly because you were inspired by someone else’s performance. Maybe you were inspired by your own performance! That inspiration can fade for many singers as the challenges of life get in the way.

Taking a few simple steps can refuel that passion and motivate you to become the vocalist you’ve always dreamed of becoming. I challenge you to choose just one item from the list to build up your creativity and passion:

  1. Make a new playlist of music that inspires you.
  2. Make a new playlist of music you want to consider learning.
  3. Search Instagram or other social media platforms and follow someone new who inspires you with their creativity and personality.
  4. Dig through digital photos and recordings to find reminders of your own performances that you are proud of. Put these in a folder somewhere so you can find them easily and feel proud.
  5. Text with or talk to creatives in your life. Shoot the breeze. Ask them which music has been inspiring them lately.
  6. Read about musicians, painters, dancers or sculptors who have done projects that resonate with you.
  7. Journal about one vocal performance you watched in the distant or recent past that stuck with you and left an impression.

The world needs to hear your voice, so never stop nourishing your passion for singing!
